Savings Estimators
ROI Calculators
Enter your facility's operating costs to see estimated annual savings and payback period. Both calculators use the same three inputs — annual cost, unit count, and product cost — so results are directly comparable. Adjust the savings rate slider to model conservative or optimistic scenarios.
Results are estimates based on published industry averages. See our Terms of Use for the full calculator disclaimer.

Answers to the questions facility managers, engineers, and procurement teams ask most often about AquaMagna™ and Eco-Clamp™.
AquaMagna™ uses precisely configured permanent magnets to alter the physical structure of dissolved minerals in water — specifically calcium and magnesium — changing them from hard, adherent scale crystals into a soft, non-adherent form that passes through the system without bonding to pipe walls or heat exchange surfaces. No salt, electricity, or chemicals are involved. The magnets are permanent and maintenance-free.
AquaMagna™ delivers the most measurable results in water with hardness above 100 ppm (roughly 6 gpg or higher). Most municipalities in southern Ontario, Alberta, and the Prairie provinces fall in the 150–350 ppm range — ideal conditions for AquaMagna™. Softer water still benefits from improved water chemistry, but the visible scale prevention results are most pronounced in harder water zones. Use the Water Hardness & Scale Risk tool above to check your facility's risk level.
In new installations, AquaMagna™ begins preventing scale formation immediately. In systems with existing scale buildup, gradual dissolution of old deposits typically begins within 4–8 weeks and accelerates over 3–6 months. Visible improvements — lower energy bills, cleaner heat exchangers, reduced chemical use — are generally measurable within the first quarter. Payback timelines vary by system size and water conditions, typically 12–24 months for commercial AquaMagna™ installations.
Yes. Eco-Clamp™ has been successfully deployed on natural gas, propane, and liquid-fuel systems. It works on any combustion system where fuel passes through a metal pipe or line — including boilers, furnaces, rooftop HVAC units, generators, kilns, and fuel-fired industrial equipment. It is not applicable to electric heating systems. The fuel efficiency range of 5–17% (up to 20% in optimal conditions) is consistent across fuel types, though exact results vary by combustion baseline and equipment condition.
AquaMagna™ is available for water pipe diameters from ½″ up to 6″ in standard configurations, with multi-unit setups available for larger industrial mains — exact configuration is confirmed during system assessment. Eco-Clamp™ follows a published model chart from ½″ up to 6″ (models AFS-1 through AFS-4/AFS-6), with custom assemblies available up to 8″ for thermal loads above 9 million BTU/h. Use the Unit Sizing Selector tool above for a quick recommendation, or contact Magna-Tek for a formal sizing assessment.
No. Both AquaMagna™ and Eco-Clamp™ are completely maintenance-free for the duration of their operational life — Eco-Clamp™ carries a service life of over 20 years with no measurable flux loss. They contain no moving parts, require no power, and use no consumables. There are no filters to replace, chemicals to replenish, or service intervals to schedule beyond an optional annual ~5-minute visual check — a significant part of their long-term cost advantage over chemical treatment programs and salt-based softeners.
Eco-Clamp™ is protected under U.S. Patent No. 9,305,692 B2 and U.S. Patent Application No. 2022/0127535 A1, covering its helical alternating N–S magnet array. AquaMagna™ is Magna-Tek's proprietary magnetic water conditioning technology; both AquaMagna™ and Eco-Clamp™ are trademarks of Magna-Tek Solutions Inc.
